We did it! Trains on new underground railway from Chatwsood station to Barangaroo.

As part of the Systems Connect team, Safearth is successfully delivering an integral design and testing package of work for the HV and traction power earthing, bonding, electrolysis, lightning protection and Electro Magnetic Compatibility for the new metro railway.

April 21st marks a huge milestone as the first metro train travelled on the new underground railway from Chatwsood station under Sydney Harbour to Barangaroo. This is Australia’s biggest public transport project.

The Safearth team have worked tirelessly on this very complex project. The project has involved many thousands of man hours from our team since submitting our bid in 2018, with a significant portion  of these being for on-site testing. The Safearth team has worked diligently to deliver this milestone right through COVID lockdowns, on time, without a single lost time safety incident, and to a standard that has impressed and exceeded client expectations.
