SafeBond® – Temporary Earthing Interconnection

As a pioneer in the area of earthing testing, Safearth has developed a number of innovations to enable efficient and accurate earthing system testing.

One such innovation is the temporary bonding of separated earthing systems in order to test their performance under the two different arrangements. Of course, simply connecting a separated system might increase the risk, perhaps even dramatically, allowing fault energy from one system to unexpectedly produce hazards on the other system. For this reason, consultants may have in the past reverted to costly (and often inaccurate) modelling of the system in order to estimate the performance.

Safearth’s SafeBond® is our patent-pending product that we use to temporarily interconnect separated systems in a safer way. The SafeBond can detect a fault-related change on one system, and respond by preventing fault energy from impacting the second system.

Using Safearth SafeBonds, performance testing of alternate scenarios can be undertaken quickly and safely, providing accurate information to the designer, to enable good decisions about minimising risk.
