Geared Cable Winder

Electrical testing often involves running long leads around the test site, and sometimes in the neighborhood surrounding the test site. To effectively manage associated with lead deployment and retrieval, it is critical that leads are unwound and rewound quickly and without complications like tangles, birdnesting/overwind and jamming. Winding needs to be smooth and reliable, with the right amount of tension. The winder frame must be extremely robust for industrial and field usage.

The design and construction of our GCC cable winder is the result of decades of experience in field testing. It is ergonomic and very easy to operate. A 3:1 gearbox allows rewinding at 3 times the speed. A dedicated friction plate allows the user to gently tighten the spindle to apply braking force onto the spool, thereby managing tension during unwind and rewind. Spools are easily interchangeable. The circular cross-section frame makes carrying the winder more comfortable, and stainless steel means high strength and no rust. There is no question that this is the very best winder available for electrical testing.
