Matthew Bale delivers the keynote presentation at the IDC Low Voltage Conference 

An excellent opening keynote presentation at the IDC Low Voltage Conference in Melbourne by Matthew Bale. Matt gave a detailed description of how the Low Voltage MEN system works in different network contexts.

Using real world case studies of past shock and electrocution incidents, the presentation described how a healthy MEN works under load and fault, including neutral and protective earth voltage rise, and circulating currents in earth paths.

The presentation also explained how degradation can cause severe hazard conditions at installations, and the importance of understanding the causes to correctly diagnosing and correct problems to prevent fatality and keep people safe.
