Electrical Testing in Portugal and Switzerland

Recently, Safearth engineer Rowan McMurray visited Lisbon to work with electric utilities company EDP as they develop new earthing standards that will be applied across Portugal. EDP are changing the way they manage earthing assessments across their grid. As part of this transition Rowan showed their team the earthing system injection testing functionalities of the AX1, and also gave them a quick look at the fault-finding capabilities of the CS3.

On the same European trip Rowan McMurray enjoyed the blue skies in Switzerland! He ventured to Lausanne to work closely with industrial machinery manufacturing  and equipment supplier SIE SWISS. Here is he demonstrating the AX1, in preparation for the changes that the Swiss distribution networks will be going through over the next 10-15 years as they increase distribution voltage to meet increasing demand.
