Safearth’s core business is to provide expert design and testing services in the field of Power System Earthing, Lightning Protection, and Electromagnetic Induction. This broad discipline reaches all industries with electrical infrastructure including Power Distribution, Generation, Renewables, Rail, Roads, Water, Oil and Gas, and Mining.
The position will involve technical engineering, travel and site testing, client interfacing, and working with the broader Safearth team. Together, the team provides specialist consulting services in the following areas:
- Earthing system design
- Earthing system performance assessment
- Lightning protection system design and assessment
- Electrical shock safety auditing and incident investigation
- Complex electrical problem solving across instrumentation, power, pipe and communications systems

We’re looking for someone who…
- Is enthusiastic and efficient, with a positive attitude to teams and safety.
- Has a strong sense of adventure who doesn’t mind getting hands-on and is excited by the opportunity to mix office-based engineering with field testing.
- Has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent and three years’ industry experience.
- Holds Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (please specify).
- Self-motivated and proactive: able to take responsibility for self-management and delivery of project commitments, as well as minor project initiation.
- Holds a current Australian Driver’s License.
- Has highly developed written and oral communication skills, someone with the ability to articulately communicate complex technical concepts who is just as comfortable chatting with those you meet.
